Irresponsible Role of Media in the recent Indo-China Border Tussle

           Pressure has been developing in the Himalayas along one of the world's highest land borders, with New Delhi and Beijing both blaming the other for violating the Line of Actual Control (LAC) that divides the two. How Goa became part of India?

In 1510, Goa was captured by the Portuguese General Alfonso de Albuquerque from the Sultan of Bijapur, Ismail Adil Shah. Albuquerque set up Goa as a base for his future expeditions of Malacca and Hormuz in 1511 and 1515 respectively. Goa was used as a strategic location, by the Portuguese, to expand their "semi kingdom" in Asia which included other parts of India such as Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Malacca and other bases in Indonesia, Macau in China, the Persian Gulf and many Japanese trade bases. सावरकर की जीवनी भाग-2

         सावरकर पे मेरे पहले लेख में मैंने बहुत से विषयों  को जान भूज के सम्मलित  नहीं  किया क्यूंकि मेरे  इस लेख का उद्देश्य केवल आपको सावरकर के जीवन से परिचित कराना था ना कि राजनीती से प्रेरित होके  उनके चरित्र की प्रशंसा अथवा बुराई करना। यहाँ ये बात ध्यान देने वाली हे की मेरा ये लेख राजनितिक लेख नहीं है बल्कि इसमें सावरकर के जीवन की  उन घटनावों का उल्लेख हे जिनसे उनकी राजनीति का जन्म हुआ और उसने आकार लिया। हाँ यह बात निश्चित हे की उनपे मैं राजनीतिक लेख भी लिखूंगा जिसमे उनकी राजनीती का छिद्रान्वेषण भी होगा, परन्तु मैं, उनकी  जीवनी का बचा हुआ शेष भाग अपने इस लेख से आपके सामने प्रस्तुत कर रहा हूँ। अण्डमान  और निकोबार की सेलुलर जेल से कईं बार उनहोंने ब्रिटिश सरकार को दया याचिका  भेजी  परन्तु उन्हें हर बार निराशा ही हाथ लगी।  कुछ साल बाद उनके भाई गणेश को तो छोड़ दिया गया परन्तु उन्हें कारावास से आज़ादी नहीं मिली।  बाद में गाँधी, पटेल और तिलक के आग्रह पर उन्हें एक लिखित आश्वासन  के आधार पर छोडा गय...

सावरकर की जीवनी भाग-1

                मैं यदि ऐसा कहूं कि वीर सावरकर भारतीय स्वतन्त्रता संग्राम के सब से बांटनेवाले चरित्र थे, तो ये अतिशोक्ति नहीं होगी। अब मेरे इस कथन को भी आप अपने पूर्वाग्रह की चक्की में पीसेंगे और मनचाहा अर्थ निकालेंगे। कोई सोचेगा कि सावरकर के प्रति लोगों में अलग अलग भावनाएं थी और कोई सोचेगा कि सावरकर की राजनीती बाँटनेवाली थी। परन्तु में आपके मन में बेस पूर्वाग्रह को सम्भोदित नहीं कर रहा, में केवल उनके बारे में जो प्रमाणित सत्य हे, उसे अपने इस लेख  के द्वारा प्रस्तुत करना चाहता हूँ। सावरकर का जन्म २८ मई १८८३ को भागपुर में हुआ था जो उस समय बॉम्बे प्रेसीडेंसी में था और आज के महाराष्ट्र में हे, एक मराठी चितपावन ब्राह्मण परिवार(जो की खुद को परशुराम के वंशज मानते हे) में हुआ था। उनके पिता दामोदर पंत और माता राधाबाई सावरकर थी। उनका वास्तिविक नाम विनायक दामोदर था। उनका नाम विनायक कैसे पड़ा उसके पीछे एक रोचक कहानी हे। वेबसाइट  savarkar.org  के मुताबिक़ जब वो नवजात शिशु थे तो उनके सभी परिवार वाले उनके दूध ना पीने क...
